Waiting for a call.
In November 2014, I found myself in a very uncomfortable life situation. Another week of silence passed then after the interview for the job I really wanted.It was actually my dream job. I felt then that each passing day took me away from my dream position.
I felt like a failure and looked to the future with fear.
Draka - the dog that
changed my life.
I wanted to break this hard time. And so Draka appeared in my life - a cute Border Colli puppy. Then I started looking for a suitable set for walks for Draka. Unfortunately, I quickly realized that the selection of accessories for dogs is very poor. Nevertheless, I bought the only interesting red leather collar with studs and a simple black webbing leash.
On her first walk in rainy November, the red from the collar spilled over to Draka's white ruff, making her look like the heroine of the canine version of the Walking Dead. It was then that I thought for the first time that I would sew a walking set for Draka myself. I had a lot of free time, I was out of work and I really wanted to occupy my head. And so the first leash was born. I sewed the whole set on an old Archer from my grandma. I was proud of him and I really liked him. We started the tests and it's time for the first walk.
Then something happened that I will remember for the rest of my life, which can be said to have changed my fate.Immediately after leaving the block, Draczka and I went towards the green areas on Solvay. We had to cross a busy two-lane road. I didn't even have time to react when Draka broke off my beautiful leash and ran towards the street. The leash stayed in my hand.At the last moment, I ran onto the road and managed to catch my puppy almost by myself falling under the car.Holding her terrified in my arms then, I felt like the worst dog guardian in the world, I cried. I couldn't forgive myself for a long time.
When I went through it in myself, I came to a very important conclusion and understood what these "Dog accessories" are really about. It's not about looks, or a nice pattern or decorative accessories. It's about your pet's SAFETY, which is entirely up to you!From that moment I decided to take a closer look at the offer of accessories for dogs in Poland.I started a strong re-search of the zoological market. And since I still had no job, it became my full-time job.I explored all topics related to the structure of the dog's body, movement of the dog, dog sports and training.
WORK LIFE BALANCE
How moving to the countryside gave us wings.
In the meantime, our life went through another unexpected turbulence and suddenly from Krakowianki from my grandfather/great-grandfather I became a Podkarpacian woman :)
At that time I did not fully realize how wonderful the change was. I have always been drawn to the forest, to nature. I escaped where I could breathe deeper, and in Krakow I had the feeling that I was suffocating for a long time (sometimes even literally physically ;)
Moving to the Subcarpathian countryside gave my company wings. I had space, nature entering the house through doors and windows and a head full of ideas.
I thought I wanted to help people like me at the beginning. I wanted to give people great dog accessories that you don't have to worry about.
I designed new models of durable and at the same time beautiful in their simplicity harnesses, leashes and collars.
Now I am in a place where I feel happy. The company I created is already 9 years old. I have wonderful, committed employees and amazing, repeat customers. Some of them, like Mrs. Olga from Krakow, still have our first collar from 2015! Wild Woof products have found great recognition not only in Poland but also in Sweden, Norway and Finland, which, considering the difficult weather conditions there, is a huge success for me!
Lorentina - weimaraner - my dream has joined our wonderful dog-human team! My companion in sports adventures. Together we practice dogtrekking, canicrossing, bikejoring and skijoring. Now it is thanks to her that the professional Wild Woof sports collection will soon be created.
